The organization seeks a Communications Officer (intern) based in New York. Do you have an ability to: speak in front of audiences, be interviewed by journalists, plan an amazing party for 100 people in NY or write articles for international publications? While we can't promise you'll be doing all of the above on the same day, a few months with ARCHIVE though may just have you involved with them all.

The internship is a challenging immersion into the world of international development. For this role, a modest stipend to cover out-of pocket expenses is offered.

Requirements/Skills:

We are seeking an outstanding Communications Officer (intern) to be based in New York City. The intern will be a graduate of a four-year accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree in any discipline.

Masters degree desirable but not required.

The individual must demonstrate the ability to help lead our vibrant social media campaigns and an enthusiasm for researching/writing on topics relating to design, health or international development. The internship requires a commitment of full time for 3 months or 28hr (4 days)/week for 6 months.

Other required skills:

• Excellent written and oral skills • Superior organizational and reporting skills • Teamwork skills • Comfortable with cold calling and making new relations • Out of the box thinker • Good knowledge of MS Word, Powerpoint, Excel as well as internet and e-communication tools. Desirable: Masters degree in any discipline
